That conviction has shaped my entire career — from my roots in print and editorial design to leading brand and creative strategy for enterprise technology companies. My background is unusual: I came to design through a deep love of content, and I've never seen the two as separate disciplines. That combination — the designer who thinks like an editor, the brand strategist who sweats the details — is the lens through which I approach every project.
I think about design the way a scientist thinks about a problem: layout as logic, grid systems as structure, visual hierarchy as argument. Each project is a puzzle with a right answer, and I won't stop until I've found it. That exacting nature has made me equally at home in print and pixel, and it's what allows me to evaluate work holistically — as a Gestalt whole — rather than optimizing one element at a time.
Today I'm the Director of Brand & Creative at IntelePeer, a healthcare and regulatory enterprise AI platform serving Fortune 500 clients. I joined as the company's first and only in-house designer and have since built a full creative function from the ground up — growing to lead a team of four, own the Marketing creative budget, and steer a company-wide rebrand from strategy through execution.
Over 17+ years, I've worked across brand identity, editorial design, web, event, campaign, and content — always with the same goal: to make complex ideas feel clear, compelling, and inevitable.
I'm a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (BA, Graphic Design; minor in Creative Writing) and have pursued continuing education at the Kansas City Art Institute. I'm based in Kansas City, MO.
I believe every visual decision is a communication decision.
